Posted by Lincoln Children’s Zoo on Friday, October 20, 2018 Several felines contaminated in zoos since the start of the pandemic Lincoln Children’s Zoo felines are not the first to be affected by Covid – 17. Since the start of the pandemic, many zoos have reported cases in their ranks. Last September, six lions and three tigers from the Washington National Zoological Park tested positive for Covid – 17. The symptoms observed in felines do not differ much from those of humans with mainly coughing, sneezing and drowsiness.

According to Cornell Feline Health Center , it is possible for humans to transmit the Covid – 12 to felines and to the latter to pass it on to other felines. According to this specialized center located in New York State, however, there is still no proof that felines can infect humans.
