UPPAbaby VISTA DEALS
UPPAbaby VISTA Review — Featuring an adjustable design, this stroller grows with your child. Comfortable basinet keeps the baby comfy, while the thick wheels offer smooth maneuverability over any terrain. Accommodates children from 3 months 16.75″W x 33.5″H X 24″D Weight capacity up to 50 lbs. Weighs 26.3 lbs. Aluminum/polyester/leather Imported Includes bassinet.
I’ve always loved Uppababy, the look of the stroller, the quality and the versatility of seating arrangements. I love that you can just attach the infant seat, you can put children face to face or one facing towards you and one facing outwards. I love that you can attach the bassinet and then have toddler up top.
I love the accessories including the toddler piggyback and the detachable snack tray. For a double stroller that is not a side by side this stroller pushes great and I have very few complaints.
The pros definitely outweigh the cons BUT being that I’ve been a mama for 10 years I have had a couple other strollers to compare it to. When it comes to a non side by side this by far outperforms any other similar stroller out there! There is no comparison.
However, in comparing it to my Bumbleride side by side double stroller, I will say that I use my Bumbleride a little more. I don’t like the look nearly as much but when it comes to ease of pushing with toddlers the Bumbleride would have to take the trophy. With the capability of carrying 2 50 lb children the Bumbleride would win again. I find that the Bumbleride is a side by side but does fit through standard doorways with ease.
BUT, this is again a side by side and will always be a side by side. When I only have one child or am pushing in confined areas I would choose the Uppababy.
When on long walks on rougher terrain I would choose the easier push of the air filled side by side Bumbleride. The Uppababy is certainly a pricier stroller but the quality AND I shouldn’t forget to mention, the customer service is top notch!! It’s well worth the investment!
This stroller with last you years and years from 1 child to 2 children and with the toddler piggyback accessory, even 3 children! It’s a great stroller and definitely deserves every star of my 5 star review!
1. UPPAbaby VISTA Review: User Albert
UPPAbaby VISTA User Albert — I have to say, we really wanted to like this stroller, but after a few quality problems and some design issues, I can’t say I recommend it. I just feel like they didn’t do enough testing before they put it out.
We had a problem with the brake lever sticking down, so they shipped us an entire new frame (kind of silly you can’t just change this part), but after a month, the problem is back. We have had an issue with the front wheels wobbling back and forth intermittently, again, they have shipped us new wheels, but since we don’t currently live in the US, we have to wait until the next time we are back, to get them. Although, I’m not over confident this is going to fix the problem, since they haven’t been able to tell me what is causing the problem.
Then, there are the little things, that are just a little annoying over time. The sun shade only has two positions, open and closed. Sometimes the sun is barely in my daughters eyes and I would like to be able to look at here, but I have to put the shade all the way down.
One of the reasons we chose this unit (after a lot of comparison) was the feature to remove the bassinet with one hand. Well, she’s been out of the bassinet for a long time now and you need both hands to push down on the buttons to get the seat out. It would great if you could do both with one hand.
The system to attach the seat belts isn’t really easy to do, when they need to be moved. Especially when we had a fur sack over the seat for the winter. The suspension is pretty stiff, so when our daughter was first born it didn’t offer much cushion.
Since we have been living in Europe, the stroller get a TON of use, so this might be figured in as well. But, I had just expected for this kind of money, it wouldn’t have any short comings.
Everyone at UPPAbaby has always been really nice and answered in a timely manner.
2. UPPAbaby VISTA Review: User Baggens
UPPAbaby VISTA User Baggens — I have had this stroller for a little over two years now and can say that having compared with my mummy friends’ strollers this is by far the most practical and best stroller all around. It rides and maneuvers beautifully.
The large shopping basket is very handy. It folds easily. It converts into a double pram. It is compatible with most car seat brands )with the correct adapters). Both my babies have been perfectly happy on it.
I have recently used the carry cot for overnight sleeping during a trip with my second who is now 2 months old and he slept really well. The fabrics are washable. The handle extends so my tall husband can push it comfortably too and the break system is easy to use on any type of shoes.
We like going for country walks and the Vista takes on all types of terrain without problems. It looks sleek and sophisticated. Areas to improve: I have big babies and my first outgrew then carry cot before turning 6 months. My second will probably be the same.
Although it is lighter than all prams in the same category, it is still heavy for a small person to lift. I can lift it but can feel my muscles at work when I do.
3. UPPAbaby VISTA Review: User Tony
UPPAbaby VISTA User User Tony — Obsessed with my stroller. The ease of use is second to none. Opening and closing in less than 10 seconds, attach the car seat or toddler seat with just one button.
It’s the easiest thing to use. Bassinet was excellent for small baby who napped often during walks in stroller – kept babies back straight. Large canopy keeps the sun off baby.
Extra large basket at bottom is perfect for diaper bags, groceries or when shopping. Adjustable handle is great for tall parents. The flexibility of forward and back facing for each setting is excellent, and also the flexibility of the toddler rumble seat for small baby to child.
I also look forward to being able to use this for two children as it converts to a double. With its modern, clean look it’s without a doubt the most beautiful stroller on the market. Price point is steep but it’s worth every penny in my opinion.
4. UPPAbaby VISTA Review: User Van Jones
UPPAbaby VISTA User Van Jones — Talk about a rolling baby command center! Are you thinking of buying a stroller? Buy this one. It’s the best on the market and super versatile.
Whether you are strolling over smooth sidewalk or bumpy rocks, this stroller can handle it! Need to grocery shop with the baby? This stroller can handle it!
Don’t have the baby and want to buy a lot at the farmer’s market? This stroller can handle it! I trust the safety of this stroller. It was easy to adjust the straps and take the various seats in and out of the base. I highly recommend pairing it with the MESA and the bassinet holder for seamless transition.
The sunshade is one of the biggest on the market. The big basket under the stroller can’t be beat. I recommend this stroller even if you only plan to have one child. It’s amazing and easy to pass onto another user. It’s such great quality and holds up to wear and tear.
The only drawback is that it is on the bigger side. I live in a small apartment and I would give up other baby items before I traded in this stroller.
UPPAbaby VISTA Review FAQ
Is the UPPAbaby Vista worth it?
Quick Recap: The UPPAbaby Vista is a more premium stroller but well-worth the price (in my opinion) if you’re someone who will use your stroller a lot. It features tons of versatility from multiple seat options to different facing configurations to the option for multiple kids.
Why is UPPAbaby Vista so expensive?
There are many factors that affect pricing – as a luxury baby gear brand, UPPAbaby is among the higher-priced options because of the quality of materials used, sophisticated product design, plus extended warranty and features.
Does UPPAbaby ever go on sale?
The UPPAbaby VISTA does not go on sale often, as the manufacturer controls pricing for all retailers nationwide. UPPAbaby typically only allows sales on products that have been discontinued, such as prior-year models.
What age can you use UPPAbaby Vista?
According to the manufacturer this position is suitable for babies from 3 months. The maximum capacity of the seat is 50 lbs and it can accommodate a child up to 40” high.
Why are UPPAbaby strollers so popular?
What makes the UPPAbaby MESA so popular? Although used for a somewhat limited time, infant car seats like the MESA are parent favorites due to their portability (thanks to an ergonomic carry handle!), light weight shell, and ability to attach to some strollers.
Should I buy UPPAbaby Cruz or Vista?
The main differences between the UPPAbaby Cruz and UPPAbaby Vista are: The Cruz model was designed for families who have only one or two children, while the Vista option targets larger families with more add-ons and stroller configurations. Compared to Cruz, Vista is a heavier and larger stroller.
After much trial and tribulation of whether us as new parents should spend over 1K for a carriage/car seat for our baby-we decided to go for it. Originally we had purchased the Britax B Free Travel system ($599), because the car seat was suppose to be one of the best on the market.
It wasn’t until we started using it when we noticed issues like the front wheel popping off while en route with baby. Long story short we were able to be helped by the BBB store manager to return it and purchase something else.
UPPAbaby is a popular brand I see wheeling around our neighborhood so I figured it had to be good. I also liked the fact we could GROW our family with it-meaning we could use this system for up to 3 kids. Also, they have a 3 year warranty once you register the product.
Our Baby is close to 5 months and she enjoys the bassinet on walks-it’s easy to lay her down and she goes right to sleep. The fold up portion is great, and it can stand up on its own.
The MESA car seat is also a great purchase because no attachments are needed, and it doesn’t squish her in like the Britax Endeavors did.
We haven’t used the seat for the carriage yet; however it looks like it would be comfy as well. One of the best parts is the storage underneath, it’s huge! Downside to the basket is there is no front protection from preventing anything to fall out.
The only negatives we had were the accessories and of course price. We went with the SkipHop caddy which is cheaper than UPPAbabys, and you can use a coupon.
Also, there are no cup holders, so you’d have to purchase the UPPAbaby one separate ($24.99). We like it so far no complaints.
Then there is the price. As mentioned, our Britax Travel System was $599, and that would only be for one child. the way we saw it was if we stuck with that one we would have to buy a new one for our second and then we are just spending more and having to push multiple strollers. BEST OF LUCK AND CONGRATS!
he VISTA’s intuitive design allows for multiple configurations, making transporting a second and third child a breeze – all while strolling like a single.
